What’s New?
With the release of the AUDAC Touch™ 2, we are introducing several ground-breaking new features. Aside from the powerful widgets controlling your system, AUDAC Touch™ 2 now also has several functions embedded that will aid system managers and installers. Here is a short list of everything that’s new.
– Version update 2.8 –
Expanding compatibility
With the recent announcement of our new SourceCon modules, we are happy to tell you that the new BMP42 (Bluetooth module) and DMP42 (Dab/Dab+ & FM tuner module) are now AUDAC Touch™ supported, meaning that they can be discovered within your device list. For even more user convenience we have added also the search term ‘Touchlink’, this will allow you to find all compatible devices for this innovation.
Updated dashboard layout functionality
The creation of dashboards with fewer panels is now possible, meaning that you can start making dashboards with only one single panel. A further enhancement to the functionality of your dashboard is that the screen no longer scrolls when all panels are visible.
Check out the complete release notes for all changes we introduced to the application.
– Version update 2.7 –
New device list & device discovery
The device ist is an important page in AUDAC Touch™ 2 that is used to show you all the devices that are located in your installation. However, we noticed that with more heavy users the device list could become long and obscure. The solution? AUDAC has split the device list into a device overview and a discovery page.
- Discovery page
- Saved page
- Search bar
Linked devices
In this new update, we also have grouped linked devices within the direct device so the device list is much cleaner and organized.
- A direct device is a device that you control using the device’s own IP address
- A linked device is a device that you control using the IP of another device. For example, an ARU that is connected to an M2.
Probe devices
Another new handy feature is the device probe. Probing is used when we want to physically change a device for instance when you want to replace it with a new one. The probe will search for all devices with the same device type so you can update your AUDAC Touch database without having to manually change everything.
Mapping feature
This new feature is something we added to avoid lots of work when for example you accidentally remove a device from the app causing the widgets in your dashboard related to that device to stop working. We made it possible to map your desired device again in the settings of your dashboard.
Newer user interface design
AUDAC has changed the color scheme of the application to our new company brand style.
– Version update 2.6 –
So what does AUDAC have in store for you with the AUDAC Touch™ v2.6. update? Here a few new features that you will love.
Expanded the Touchlink™ technology
TouchLink™, our ingenious technology for creating virtual zones by linking multiple compatible devices with each other has been expanded with new features.
Main functionalities:
Setting up (virtual) zones by grouping devices.
In AUDAC Touch™ 2 or directly on the device you can select up multiple compatible devices or outputs that should react to the user as one zone by assigning it the same TouchLink™ zone ID (e.g. 1, 2, 3, …). All devices with the identical TouchLink™ ID will then virtually work as one zone.
Share input, volume & mute settings
In these virtual zones, you can share the inputs, volume & mute settings between the different devices so that they actually act as one (physical) zone.
Priority settings.
Last but not least, you can also send priority messages with the MFA to these zones. The priority settings are shared among the different devices within the zones and can be triggered via the SourceCon™ module, Mic input, or Line in.
Compatible devices:
- AMP203
- MFA series
- SMA series
- SMQ series
- PMQ series
- VEXO series
